Curitiba - Paraná
Curitiba is the capital of the state of Paraná, located at 934 meters altitude in the first plateau of Paraná, approximately 110 km from the Atlantic Ocean. It is the eighth most populous of Brazil and the largest city in the south of the country, with a population of 1,750,000 inhabitants. Founded on the date of March 29, 1693. Initially called the Village of Our Lady of Light of Pinewoods, changing its name to Curitiba in 1721, and already then the concern for nature and the environment was decisive by then ombudsman Pires Raphael Coutinho, starting a tradition of which Curitiba is recognized today internationally.
